Modular Office Seating for DCU Business School

Earlier in 2016 we were asked to develop a proposal for the Dublin City University (DCU) business school foyer area so we thought it presented a great case study example of exactly what kind of service we offer our clients.

The proposal involved removing the hard and uncomfortable brick and wood seating which has existed since the building was built and replacing this with a variety of fixed and unfixed soft seating, tables, lighting and computer charging points. We developed a number of designs including enclosed POD type seating/table units, modular movable seating and a plan which re-cycled the existing structure of brick to provide a sub-structure onto which new table and seating elements could be fixed. All the proposals were designed to be very hard wearing with commercial grade finishes throughout but also future proof with integrated technologies required for the students.
