Background Information from the Hiberform Launch press release 2011
Hiberform – a new brand of Irish Designed and Manufactured Spatial
Division and Furniture Products.

Designed by product designer Leo Scarff, the idea for the collection
originated in 2009 when Leo began developing a series of sculptural
structures from his research in natural form and Geodesics. The nature
of these structures required computer navigated router and laser cutting
processes to produce the components. However, having recently relocated
to the creative hub of north west Ireland – Manorhamilton, Co.Leitrim it
was necessary to locate several high tech local manufacturers with the
capabilities in these areas.

A new production network was established in 2009 and Leo began
prototyping his ideas in 2010 which culminated in a residency at the
Leitrim Sculpture Centre, followed by the ‘Futurescapes’ exhibition at
the centre in May 2011

Many of the ideas for the Hiberform collection came from the sculptural
works in this show and through funding from Leitrim Local Enterprise Office and
the Ceim Business Programme we are delighted to officially launch
Hiberform. We have a web site with information on all the products
including downloadable PDF files taken from our catalog which is
available by post by contacting us at: info@hiberform.com and we invite
